chelsea’s recipe tips
My Best Tips For Hosting An Easy Brunch
I’ve made a LOT of big breakfasts over the years, and these are the things that make the biggest difference!
- Don’t make everything from scratch that morning. Choose at least one recipe you can completely prep ahead of time.
- Pick recipes with different cooking methods. If everything needs the oven, you’re going to run out of room quickly! I like mixing oven dishes with stovetop recipes and no-cook sides.
- Keep the menu simple. One sweet main, one savory main, fruit, and a side or two is plenty!
- Prep the little things early. Wash and cut fruit, set out serving dishes, and get toppings ready the night before. Those little tasks add up!
- Make sure there’s something for everyone. I try to have a mix of sweet, savory, and lighter options so people can build their own plates.
