It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a sheet pan dinner, so I’m making it up to you with one seriously flavor-packed recipe. Hot honey is having a moment and I am all for it, so I built this whole dinner around it.
It’s got sweet, it’s got spice, and it’s all finished with a drizzle of hot honey that caramelizes everything beautifully.
Think smoked sausage, tender roasted sweet potatoes, peppers, and onions, then top it off with heat from jalapeño, creaminess from avocado, tang from feta, and that irresistible hot honey sweetness.
This sheet pan hot honey sausage & veggies is perfect for busy weeknights and I think you are going to love it!

Sheet Pan Hot Honey Sausage & Veggies Ingredients
| Ingredient | Helpful Tips |
|---|---|
| Smoked sausage | Go with fully cooked smoked sausage for faster prep. Choose chicken, pork, beef, or a blend. |
| Sweet potatoes | Cut into small, even cubes for faster roasting. |
| Bell peppers & onions | Use any pepper color you like. Cut peppers and onions into similar sizes for even cooking. |
| Jalapeño & avocado | Remove seeds from jalapeño for less heat. Add avocado right before serving to keep it fresh and creamy. |
| Feta & hot honey | Drizzle hot honey at the end so it caramelizes slightly without burning. Crumble feta on top just before serving this Sheet Pan Hot Honey Sausage dinner. |
Storage
Best eaten fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer until warm.

One Pan Hot Honey Sausage & Veggies
Equipment
- Large sheet pan
Ingredients
- 2 medium sweet potatoes peel & cut into 1/2-inch chunks (4 cups)
- 1 large red onion cut into 1-inch chunks (2 cups)
- 1 large red pepper cut into 1-inch chunks (3/4 cup)
- 13 to 14 ounces smoked sausage slice into coins; see note 1
- 1/4 cup olive oil divided
- 1-1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1-3/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt & pepper (1/2 tsp salt; 1/4 tsp pepper)
- Mike's Hot Honey added to taste
- 1 jalapeño thinly sliced, optional
- 2 ounces feta optional
- 1 large avocado diced, optional
- Lemon cut to wedges, optional
- Crusty buttered bread optional
Instructions
- Place the oven rack in the middle position and preheat to 400°F. In a small bowl, stir together all seasonings.
- Add prepared sweet potatoes, peppers, and onion to the sheet pan. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil and sprinkle with about 3/4 of the seasoning mix (just eyeball it). Toss to coat evenly, then spread out so they don’t overlap. Roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Add sliced sausage, remaining 2 tablespoons oil, and the rest of the seasoning. Toss to coat, then spread out again in a single layer. Roast for 15 minutes, until veggies are crisp-tender and sausage is browned. Toss once more and spread into a single layer.
- Drizzle about 1 tablespoon hot honey over everything. Broil (same rack position) for 2–4 minutes, watching closely, until nicely caramelized.
- Remove pan from oven and divide onto plates. Top with any combination of jalapeño, avocado, feta, extra drizzle of hot honey, and lemon wedges. I love serving with some crusty bread to sop up all those extra pan juices — yum!

Sheet Pan Hot Honey Sausage & Veggies:
- Preheat the oven fully before putting the sheet pan in.
- Pat veggies dry after washing so they roast, not steam.
- Stir halfway through roasting to make sure everything cooks evenly.
- Warm the hot honey a little so it spreads easily.
- If the pan is crowded, split the food onto two pans so it roasts, not steams.
