This blueberry smoothie has been a staple in my home for years, so naturally I had to start experimenting with variations.
I honestly didn’t think anything could top the original, but then I swapped the blueberries for cherries (kept everything else the same), and it totally blew me away! The sweet and tart flavor from the cherries was incredible.
It’s such a fun way to mix up our morning smoothie routine, and best of all, it’s still just as simple.

- 1 cup frozen sweet cherries
- 3/4 cup frozen banana coins
- 2 tablespoons almond butter or peanut butter
Instructions
- Peel the banana and slice into coins. Place the coins in a sealed bag in the freezer.
- Combine the almond milk, frozen cherries, frozen banana, and almond butter in a large, powerful blender. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust if needed. Depending on sweetness of banana, you may need to add a bit of honey or maple syrup, but I usually don’t need to add either! Enjoy immediately.
