Spice up your recipe game with these mouthwatering Buffalo Chicken Wraps! Loaded with crispy chicken tenders coated in tangy buffalo sauce, fresh broccoli slaw, creamy salad dressing, and slices of ripe avocado, these wraps are a flavor explosion in every bite. And the best part? They’re so quick and easy to make thanks to some recipe short-cuts! QUICK Buffalo Chicken Wraps If you’re a fan of bold and spicy flavors, these Buffalo Chicken Wraps are a game changer! These wraps are a game-changer with crispy chicken tenders coated in tangy buffalo sauce, paired with crunchy broccoli slaw, creamy avocado slices, and a drizzle of blue cheese dressing. The combination of textures and flavors is absolutely mouth-watering! And while that might all sound like a lot, these wraps actually come together so quickly, thanks to some store-bought short-cuts. Let’s break those down! SHORTCUTS Short-Cuts Frozen breaded chicken tenders: using frozen chicken tenders in this recipe is a great time-saving hack, since you can skip the step of breading and frying the chicken from scratch. (And that’s the messy part!) Instead, simply follow the package directions to cook the chicken either in the oven or in the air fryer. We use Tyson’s® crispy chicken strips for these wraps, but Bare or RealGood Chicken is another great and healthier alternative. Pre-made dressing: instead of making your own blue cheese dressing (or relying on a lack-luster store-bought one), you’ve got to try this Litehouse blue cheese dressing. It’s delicious! Buffalo Sauce. Frank’s® RedHot Wings Buffalo sauce is our favorite in these wraps! Frank’s makes quite a few sauces; be sure to use the one labeled “buffalo” not the cayenne pepper sauce! Start With A Quick Slaw In these Buffalo Chicken Wraps, we start with a quick slaw. It’s simply broccoli slaw tossed with a creamy dressing. If you aren’t familiar with broccoli slaw, it is a type of coleslaw made with shredded raw broccoli stalks, rather than cabbage. It’s a great alternative for those who prefer the taste and texture of broccoli over cabbage. Broccoli slaw has a crunchy texture and a slightly sweet flavor, It’s a great complement to the spicy chicken in these wraps. QUICK TIP Typically, broccoli slaw can be found pre-packaged in the produce section of most grocery stores, or you can easily make your own by shredding broccoli stalks with a box grater or a food processor. Other Wrap Ingredients To complete your Buffalo Chicken Wraps, you will also need the following ingredients, in addition to the chicken tenders, broccoli slaw, and blue cheese dressing: Tortillas: For this recipe, we recommend thin, white, flour tortillas. Avocado: A ripe avocado can add a cooling creaminess to the wraps. To tell if an avocado is ripe, gently press on it to see if it yields to the pressure. Blue cheese crumbles: These crumbles offer an extra dimension of seasoning and flavor to your wraps. If you don’t like blue cheese, feel free to skip this ingredient. VARIATIONS Switch Up Your Buffalo Chicken Wraps! Use lettuce wraps instead of a tortilla. (Or try these Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps!) Try these Asian Chicken Wraps for a fun twist. Swap out the chicken tenders for crispy tofu. Swap out blue cheese dressing for ranch. Try this ranch instead. For a refreshing crunch, add slices of cucumber to the wraps. They can add a nice texture and a mild, fresh flavor. STORAGE Buffalo Chicken Wraps Storage These wraps are best enjoyed right after they’re assembled. The slaw doesn’t sit or store well once tossed in the sauce and the chicken tenders get soggy quickly after being tossed in the sauce. This recipe can easily be halved (or cut down to make one wrap) to make just enough without having leftovers. To make ahead: Prepare everything, but store ingredients separately in the fridge. Cook chicken tenders and assemble everything right before eating. More Wrap Recipes: Healthy Turkey Wraps with a quick apple slaw Chicken Caesar Wrap with only 4 ingredients! Video Recipe NotesNote 1: Crispy Chicken Strips: I use Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips (not sponsored) which cook up in about 18 minutes or 11-12 minutes (@ 400 degrees F) in the air fryer. Make sure to cook them in the oven or air fryer, not the microwave. Use whatever chicken tenders you like or you can even do homemade crispy chicken strips (try our Buffalo Chicken Tenders!). Unless the strips are little, you'll use about 2 strips per wrap. Note 2: Buffalo Sauce: Frank’s® RedHot Wings Buffalo sauce is our favorite in these wraps!
