Try some of our other favorite chicken wraps like these Cashew Chicken Wraps, Buffalo Chicken Wraps, or Chicken Caesar Wraps. Chicken Bacon Avocado Wraps These wraps are not only delicious–they’re also versatile. You can use any type of cooked chicken, from grilled to breaded, and adjust the seasoning to your liking. You can use regular bacon, microwave bacon (hello, quick prep!), or turkey bacon. The creamy avocado and crispy bacon add a perfect contrast of textures, while the tangy sauce ties everything together. Plus, these wraps are so satisfying, with the perfect balance of protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. They’re the perfect meal to fuel your day! Whether you’re looking for a quick on-the-go lunch or an easy dinner for the whole family, these Chicken, Bacon, and Avocado Wraps are sure to be a hit. So get the air fryer preheating, because dinner will be ready in a flash! Chicken Bacon Avocado Wraps: Ingredients Diced cooked chicken: You can use any type of cooked chicken in these wraps, such as grilled, roasted, or breaded chicken (our personal favorite!)–they’re a great way to use up leftover chicken! To save time, you can also use pre-shredded rotisserie chicken or even canned chicken. If you’re looking to use crispy chicken, try using Tyson’s® crispy chicken strips, which can be air-fried for a quicker prep time (plus, they’re delicious!). Another great option is Bare or RealGood Chicken. Cooked and diced bacon: For best results, cook the bacon until crispy and then chop it into small pieces. You can also use pre-cooked (microwave) bacon, which is available at most grocery stores. But if you haven’t tried our hack for baking bacon (see “quick tip” box below), you’re going to be blown away by how easy it is! Diced avocado: When selecting an avocado, look for one that is ripe but not overly soft. It’s important to wait until the avocado is perfectly ripe to get the ultimate creaminess in these wraps. To check for ripeness, gently press on the skin – it should yield slightly but not feel mushy. Tortillas: You can use any size of tortilla for these wraps, but it’s best to use flour ones. Grab a brand you know you love! Romaine Lettuce: This lettuce is a great option for these wraps; it provides a nice crunch and holds up well. You can also use other types of lettuce, such as green leaf or butter lettuce. QUICK TIP Baking is an easy and fuss-free way to cook bacon. Here’s how to do it: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Place a metal cooling rack on top of an extra-large sheet pan with raised sides. Lightly grease the cooling rack with cooking spray to prevent the bacon from sticking. Place slices of bacon in a single layer on top of the cooling rack, making sure they are not touching. Bake the bacon for 15-20 minutes or until it’s golden and crisped to your liking. Remove the bacon from the oven and let it cool on the rack. The bacon will continue to crisp up as it cools. Once the bacon has cooled, chop it into small pieces and use it in the Chicken Bacon Avocado Wraps. Sauce Ingredients Mayonnaise: Full-fat mayonnaise works best in the sauce; it provides the creaminess and richness that the sauce needs. You can use light or fat-free mayonnaise if desired, but the sauce may be less flavorful. We love Hellman’s/Best Foods®. Sour cream: You can use light or fat-free sour cream if desired. Honey and Dijon mustard: The honey adds sweetness to the sauce, while the Dijon mustard adds a tangy flavor. You can adjust the amounts of each to your liking, depending on how sweet or tangy you want the sauce to be. Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed lemon juice adds a bright and tangy flavor to the sauce. Again, you can adjust the amount to personal preference. Garlic powder and onion powder: These spices add flavor and depth to the wraps. You can add other spices such as smoked (or regular) paprika. How To Make Chicken Bacon Avocado Wraps (Tips) Use fresh ingredients: Since these wraps rely heavily on fresh ingredients, it’s important to use the highest-quality products you can find. This will help ensure that the wraps are packed with flavor and have the best texture. Adjust the sauce to your liking: The sauce in this recipe is customizable, so feel free to adjust the amounts of honey, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to your liking. Adjust the creaminess: If the filling isn’t as creamy as you’d like, feel free to add an extra scoop of mayo or sour cream to the dressing. Thoroughly dry the lettuce: Be sure to thoroughly dry the romaine to prevent excess moisture from making the wrap soggy. You can use a salad spinner or pat the leaves dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. STORAGE Storage Chicken Bacon Avocado Wraps are best eaten the same day they’re made. The avocado will begin to brown and change texture over time. If you don’t plan on finishing them all at once, it’s best to leave the avocado out of the filling and add it to individual wraps as you eat them. This will help to prevent the avocado from browning and keep it fresh. Additionally, if you’re planning to take these wraps to go, you may want to pack the filling and tortillas separately and assemble the wraps just before eating to keep them fresh and prevent them from getting soggy.
