I’ve shared a lot of noodle recipes over the years, and easy ramen dishes are on constant repeat in my house. My family loves this chicken ramen, I’m always craving this beef and broccoli ramen, and this garlic beef ramen might just be your most loved ramen noodle recipe I’ve shared over the years.
But THESE noodles. When it comes to ease, speed, and big flavor, this recipe wins every time. Inspired by NYT’s hoisin garlic noodles, it’s savory, a little sweet, super garlicky, and tastes way fancier than the effort required.
This Asian noodle recipe can be ready in 10 minutes or less, and I mean it.

- 2 (4.58-ounces) packages Buldak ramen remove seasoning packets & discard, see note 1
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce see note 2
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1-1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
- 1 bunch green onions (white and green parts separated)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the garlic and the white parts of the green onions, about 1/3 cup. Cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, stirring constantly, just until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown/burn. Immediately stir in the sauce.
- Meanwhile, bring a pot of unsalted water to a boil. Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain, then rinse briefly under cold water for about 20 seconds. Shake off excess water.
- Add the noodles to the skillet, remove from heat, and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper if needed. Top with the green onion tops and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
