Author’s Note
The Recipe I Asked For IMMEDIATELY!
Years ago, I went to a good friend’s house for Bunko night. She had a full spread of appetizers and snacks, and everything was delicious. But I quickly became completely fixated on her cream cheese fruit dip recipe.
One bite and I was all in. It was hands down the best fruit dip I’d ever had. I immediately asked what she did to make it so good, and she laughed and said it was only four ingredients. Four! I could not believe something that good was that simple.
I definitely ate more than my share of that cream cheese fruit dip, and I could not wait to share it here.

Ingredients In This Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe
| Ingredient | Tips |
|---|---|
| Cream cheese | Use full-fat, brick-style for the best texture. Let it soften fully so the dip turns ultra smooth with no lumps. |
| Marshmallow creme | A good-quality brand makes all the difference in flavor. Use a warm spoon to scoop it out easily. |
| Lime juice | Freshly squeezed gives the brightest/best flavor. Add slowly and adjust to taste. |
| Coconut extract | Optional, but adds a fun flavor. Start small; the flavor gets stronger as the dip chills. |
| Fruit for serving | Pat fruit completely dry before serving so the dip doesn’t slide off. |

What To Dip
This Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe is made for fruit, of course, but it definitely does not have to stop there!
- Fresh fruit: My favorites are green or red grapes, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple chunks, kiwi, and bananas.
- Other treats: Try cubed pound cake, Rice Krispie Treats, brownie bites, large marshmallows, pretzels, or graham crackers.

- 1 (7-ounce) container marshmallow creme
- 1 lime
- 1/8 teaspoon coconut extract optional, see note 1
Instructions
- Remove cream cheese from packaging and place on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave for 15 seconds. Flip and microwave another 10 to 15 seconds, until softened but not melted. (Time will vary depending on your microwave.)
- Add softened cream cheese to a large bowl. Beat with a hand mixer until completely smooth and lump-free, about 1 minute. Run a spoon under hot water and dry it off, then use it to scoop the marshmallow creme. Add to the bowl along with 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice and the coconut extract if using. Beat until smooth and creamy.
