Naan Pizza is my go-to dinner hack and it’s on the table in 15 minutes. Store-bought naan makes the perfect crust and a drizzle of hot honey and pesto takes it over the top.

Naan Pizza Nights Are Everything
I love cooking, but some nights? I’m over it. Enter: naan pizza. It’s my secret weapon for fast, fun, and ridiculously tasty dinners. It’s faster than takeout, better than delivery, and my whole family is totally obsessed.
If you haven’t tried naan pizza yet, prepare to be hooked. Grab some naan, add sauce and toppings, and bake or air fry until bubbly and golden. The kids love building their own, and I love how easy it is.
I recently brought this idea to Girl’s Camp and it was a total hit. The girls got to make their own and we cooked them in a propane pizza oven. It was loud, messy, and the happiest dinner ever!
Naan Pizza Ingredients
- Pizza sauce: Rao’s pizza sauce is my absolute favorite here!
- Mozzarella cheese: Melts really nicely and pairs great with just about any topping.
- Parmesan cheese: I like to grate some on top after baking for extra flavor.
- Naan: Use good, thick naan like Stonefire. Flatbread will work, just watch it closely so it doesn’t get too crispy.
Quick Tip
I love grabbing a big pack of Stonefire Naan from Amazon to use for pizzas and other meals. Here are some favorites: Caesar Salad Pizza, Pesto Pizza, or Flatbread Pizza.
Naan Pizza Topping Ideas:
- Classic Pepperoni: Pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni
- Veggie Lover: Pesto, mushrooms, red onion, spinach, mozzarella
- BBQ Chicken: BBQ sauce, shredded chicken, red onion, cheddar, cilantro
- Caprese: Fresh mozzarella, tomato slices, basil, balsamic glaze
- Sweet & Savory: Fig jam, prosciutto, arugula, goat cheese

Quick Tip
While I’ve included some general measurements, naan pizza is all about adding what you like. Eyeball the amounts to fill the naan, and know that the recipe easily scales up or down.

Naan Pizza
Equipment
- 2 Sheet pans (15" x 10")
- Parchment paper or silicone baking mats
Ingredients
- 2 (8.8-ounce) packages naan I use/recommend Stonefire original, 4 total naans
- 1 cup pizza sauce I like Rao’s Pizza Sauce
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese very thinly sliced
- Parmesan cheese optional, for topping
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes thinly sliced
- Fresh basil
- Hot honey
- Basil pesto
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line 2 sheet pans with parchment or silicone liners. Place 2 naan on each pan. Drizzle each with about 1/2 teaspoon olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Bake for 2 minutes, then remove from the oven.
- While the naan bakes, thinly slice the mozzarella. Spread 1/4 cup pizza sauce on each naan, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Add mozzarella, leaving some sauce peeking through. Top with sliced tomatoes or other toppings, but don’t overload them or the crust may get soggy.
- Return pizzas to the oven and bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely, especially if your oven runs hot.
- Remove from oven. Grate Parmesan with a microplane on top if using. Add a drizzle of olive oil (about 1/2 teaspoon per pizza), then top with pesto and hot honey if desired. Finish with fresh basil, slice, and serve immediately.

Variations
Switch Things Up!
- Use seasoned naan: Garlic naan adds more flavor with no extra work.
- Switch up the cheese: Try a mix of cheeses or a new cheese you haven’t tried before!
- Top with sauce: Drizzle pesto, balsamic, or your favorite sauce on top.
- Add fresh herbs: Basil, parsley, or cilantro brighten the flavors.
Tips For Making Naan Pizza
- Use good ingredients: Go for quality naan, sauce, whole milk mozzarella, real Parmesan, and good-quality toppings.
- Go easy on cheese: Use about 1.5 ounces of thinly sliced cheese per pizza so it doesn’t overpower the crust.
- Watch closely: Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve fresh: Best eaten right out of the oven before they get soggy.
How to Make Naan Pizza in the Air Fryer
Assemble your pizza on naan. Place in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F for 5 to 6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and edges are crisp. Serve right away.
