A few quick notes on these Halloween Bag Toppers:

  • Each bag has it’s own printable page so you won’t have to print more than what you’ll be gifting.
  • Print the bag toppers on glossy cardstock paper. (Email the PDF’s to Staples/Office Max and print there for best quality.)
  • To make cutting and folding the printable easy use a good Paper Cutter and a Scoring Board.
  • I found that Zip-loc has the nicest looking snack-size bag, but any snack size bags will work.
  • Do not print straight from the website file; make sure to first SAVE it to your computer and then print. If you’re still having issues, try a different browser or feel free to drop me an email!

Ingredients

  • 9 cups rice chex cereal
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk or semisweet chocolate chips, I like Guittard or Ghirardelli
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cups M&Ms (I used green and blue)
  • 1/2 cup Flipz chocolate covered pretzles
  • Optional: edible eyeballs + melted chocolate

Instructions

  • Into a large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
  • In a large microwave safe bowl, combine the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter. Microwave in bursts of 15 seconds, stirring in between each burst for 15 seconds until the mixture is melted and smooth. Add in the vanilla and salt. Pour over the prepared cereal. Stir well until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Pour the cereal mixture into a gallon sized ziplock bag and pour the powdered sugar over it. Seal and shake until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Remove into a large bowl and stir in the M&Ms. Separate into even amounts in the snack sized ziplock bags.
  • If desired, make the pretzel monsters by melting chocolate and attaching edible eyes to the pretzels with the melted chocolate. Let dry completely and then add a few pretzel monsters to individual bags.

  1. These Halloween Bag Toppers are Super Cute!! Shared post on FB, but the printable link for the “Mummy will be watching you” isn’t functioning. Could you please resolve? TIA and for sharing these..

  2. There is no clickable link {Click Here} to download the “Mummy will be Watching You” printable bag topper, and for some reason the Reindeer Noses is listed at the bottom with all of the other Halloween pages instead of the Mummy one. Can you please e-mail me the missing printable? Thanks!
