Notes
Note 1: Boursin cheese: Boursin cheese is widely available in grocery stores and comes in various flavors. The garlic and herb flavor works best for this cheeseball. (Boursin cheese is a trademarked product from the Boursin Cheese Company.) For a homemade cheeseball, consider our Cheeseball Recipe or Pistachio Goat Cheeseball instead!Note 2: Cheese: For best results, grate your own sharp Cheddar cheese using the large holes of a box grater. Fresh is best in this recipe; packaged shredded cheese often contains additives that affect the taste.Note 3: Serving suggestions: Accompany the cheeseball with your choice of crackers (crispy breadsticks, butter crackers, pita chips, etc.), bread (sliced toasted baguette or mini crostini), cold cuts (salami, pepperoni, or deli cuts), and/or vegetables (carrots, celery, bell peppers, olives, and cherry tomatoes).
