PREP: Wash potatoes thoroughly, dry them, and cut in half or quarters to ensure each piece is about 1-inch in size. Measure to ensure you have 3 filled cups.
SEASON: Add the cut potatoes to a separate bowl (not in the air fryer basket). Drizzle with oil and add all the seasonings, tossing thoroughly for an even coating.
ADD TO AIR FRYER: Preheat Air Fryer to 400°F. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, simply run it empty for 3 minutes at 400°F. Spread the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer in a single layer, avoiding overlap. (Cook in batches if necessary.)
AIR FRY: Cook for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, shake the basket and spread them back into an even layer. Continue to cook until they are golden and tender, about 8 to 10 minutes longer.
CHECK DONENESS: Potatoes are done when they are tender and have a slightly crisp or charred exterior. Air fryers can vary, so if your potatoes aren’t as crispy as you’d like, continue air frying them, checking every 1-2 minutes.
SERVE: Taste and add a pinch more of salt if desired. Enjoy right out of the fryer optionally garnished with fresh herbs and/or by grating Parmesan cheese on top (use a microplane). Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Note 1: Oil: Resist the temptation to reduce the oil! It is key here. Less oil means the potatoes won't be as crispy.
