Halloween Popcorn is the go-to treat for Halloween, packed with fun and flavor! Imagine freshly popped popcorn coated in creamy white chocolate, dotted with crunchy M&M's, and decked out with festive Oreos. Beyond being insanely delicious, it also stands out as a great party centerpiece!
2cups white chocolate chips(11-12 oz. bag will work)
2teaspoonsvegetable or canola oil
Instructions
PREP: Prepare a rimmed sheet pan by lining it with foil, parchment paper, or a silicone liner. Set it aside.
MIX: In a large bowl, add the popped popcorn. Make sure to remove any un-popped kernels (See Note 3). Coarsely chop the Halloween Oreos into about 8 pieces per Oreo. Add the chopped Oreos (along with any crumbs) and the M&M's to the popcorn.
WHITE CHOCOLATE: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips with the oil. Microwave this mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and completely melted. Ensure the chocolate doesn't burn.
FINISH MIX: Once the chocolate is melted, pour it over the popcorn mixture. Working quickly and using a spatula, mix until the popcorn and mix-ins are uniformly coated with the white chocolate.
HARDEN: Pour the coated popcorn mixture onto the previously prepared sheet pan, and spread it out in an even layer. Allow the popcorn to harden, either at room temperature or by placing it in the refrigerator. Once it's set, break the popcorn into bite-sized pieces.
STORAGE: If there are any leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature. It's best enjoyed within 1-2 days.

Notes
Note 1: Popcorn: Want a shortcut? Grab some already-popped popcorn. It's a tad pricier, but super convenient. If you’re on the DIY route, I personally love these packets (lightly salted plain popcorn). Or, pop kernels using a popcorn machine or stovetop. For this recipe, you'll need 8 cups total. And if you're using unsalted popcorn, sprinkle in a pinch of salt for that perfect flavor balance.Note 2: Halloween Oreos and M&M's: If you can't find the Halloween editions, classic Oreos are just as delicious, and regular M&M's will work great. Simply pick out the colors you want. Mix and match colors like orange and green or maybe orange and yellow to keep the Halloween spirit alive.Note 3: Removing unpopped kernels - Place the popcorn in a large bowl and cover with a cooling rack. Flip the bowl over and shake it above a plate; the un-popped kernels will fall out, leaving only the fully popped pieces behind. Continue with the recipe using this popcorn
