PREPARE REESE'S CUPS: Begin by unwrapping the Reese's Miniature Cups. My kids love to help with this! I like to pop these in the fridge while making the bat wings.
PREPARE BAT WINGS: Gently break the Oreo Thins in half. Separate the two halves, resulting in four pieces that will act as "bat wings." Scrape off and discard the Oreo filling (or enjoy it as a treat!). Note: When separating the cookies, many might break unevenly. To ease the process, gently slide a butter knife between the halves to coax them apart. But remember, even if some break, it's okay! Imperfect bats are perfect for Halloween!
MELT WHITE CHOCOLATE: In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips. Heat in 25-second intervals, stirring between each to ensure even melting. Once melted, transfer the chocolate to a zipper-top plastic bag. Cut a very tiny corner off the bag to use for piping.
ASSEMBLE BATS: With the curvy side of each Reese's cup facing up, pipe a small dot of melted white chocolate on the sides where you'll place the wings. Quickly attach an Oreo half to each side, positioning them to resemble bat wings. Press gently and hold in place for a few moments, allowing the chocolate to set and secure the wings. Directly below the wings, pipe another small dot of melted white chocolate. Attach two edible candy eyes onto this dot on the Reese's cup.
TIP: If the white chocolate in the bag begins to harden, simply microwave it for 5-10 seconds, or until it regains its smooth consistency, before continuing.

Notes
Note 1: Reese's Miniature Cups: If they've been in a warm environment, give them some chill time in the fridge. We love using the miniature size in this recipe, but the regular-sized Reese's Cups work great too!Note 2: Oreo Thins sandwich cookies: Stick to the thin Oreos for the perfect wing balance; the regular ones can be a tad too heavy. Note 3: Miniature edible candy eyes: Found in baking aisles or specialty stores. Choose your desired size. For tiny ones like in our photos, consider online shopping. Standard eye size fit well too on these Halloween Bat Treats!
