Snickers Salad is a retro-fluff salad combining diced Snickers bars and chopped apples in a creamy vanilla pudding and whipped topping mixture. Yes--it's not really a "salad," but a fun dessert!
PREP: Unwrap and dice the candy bars to small bite-sized pieces. Set aside 1/3 cup of the diced Snickers bars (for topping later). Then, dice the apples (no need to peel). If making ahead of time, toss apples in club soda then pat dry to prevent browning.
PUDDING: In a large bowl, briskly whisk together the vanilla pudding and milk until smooth and creamy. Use a spatula to fold in the thawed whipped topping until smooth and combined.
ASSEMBLE: Add the cut Snickers and apples to the bowl. Gently stir through and chill, covered tightly for 30 minutes or until ready to serve. Gently stir again before serving.
GARNISH: Smooth the top of the fluff and if desired, garnish (right before serving) with reserved Snickers pieces, a sprinkle of crushed toffee, and a drizzle (3-4 tablespoons) of caramel sauce. Serve promptly.

Notes
Note 1: Vanilla pudding mix: Make sure to get the smaller (3.4 ounces) box, not the 5.6-ounce package. Stick to the regular vanilla pudding mix instead of the sugar-free and use the instant pudding, not the cook-and-serve type.Nutrition information does not include optional toppings.
